Vines are trained to a vertical shoot position to allow maximum light into the canopy. With less than nine inches of rainfall a year in our high desert climate, irrigation is a necessity. We are fortunate enough to be on the rock creek ditch, the oldest irrigation ditch on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains, affectionately known as ‘Old #1.’
