'09 WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED

'09 will always be remembered as the year we sold out of all our wines and the wonderful events we shared with our favorite Restaurants. Last winter, with Brickhouse Vineyard, where they make lovely Pinots, we talked about organic and biodynamic farming with a wonderfully educated group at La Casa Sena. Weeks later we had a wonderful time pairing our wines with Oliver Ridgeway’s food at Inn of the Anasazi, soon after that we had an equally fun time at Encantado with Charles Dale's fabulous menu and Michel Damon's brilliant staff. During the Albuquerque Symphony we did an intimate dinner at Cafe Scalo. In the summer we showed our wines at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic, following up with a fun evening at Victoria's Wine and Espresso Bar. Tesuque Village Market, one of the coolest places on Earth, came next. We took our wine to Amangiri by Lake Powell, and their Cellar Master, Sommelier Krishna Hathaway, immediately put a number of our wines on their list. All the Aman resorts are super luxury; Amangani in Jackson Hole also carries our wine. Finally our Harvest Dinner in the Orchard at the Vineyard, where Mark and Bill of Restaurant six89 brought their great staff down from Carbondale, to cook a memorable meal. We either raised or grew everything we served, from shoulders of lamb to beef marrows. 85 people in the orchard at one long table was lovely to behold. We had booked people for next years dinner by the time they slipped home.
