Canyons of the Ancients National Monument is home to an estimated 30,000 archeological sites of native cultures. Check out the Sand Canyon Trail for a good hike through these ancient ruins – the trailhead is just across the road from the vineyard.
Telluride, less than a two-hour drive from the vineyard, is a lively mountain town with excellent restaurants and bars, a quaint main street, and some of the best ski terrain in Colorado.
Mesa Verde National Park houses some of the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan sites in the U.S. With miles of roads for sightseeing and a fabulous restaurant featuring Sutcliffe as their house wine, the Park is a must-see.
Durango is the largest town in Colorado’s southwest, offering a wide array of dining options, breweries and distilleries, and the famous Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
