It’s an iconic event around here. Next year will mark the 18th consecutive dinner. We plan to break the prosaic tradition of holding the dinner on a Monday evening. It was in deference to my mother’s assertion that “nice people can eat out on Mondays,” triggering a response from my father that “Mummy doesn’t know anyone who’s got a real job.” Haha
